From award-winning author Anne Raeff of San Francisco in mid-February comes “Winter Kept Us Warm” (Counterpoint Press, $26, 304 pages), a complex novel about a love triangle involving two soldiers and an interpreter that begins in immediate post-war Germany. It follow these characters across six decades, in locales as far flung as Manhattan and Morocco, weaving in themes of love and loss, friendship and loyalty and the tragic damage that war and its aftermath can wreak on even the closest of relationships.
